This is a free course offered to Illinois Librarians & Teachers from the same school, willing to work together to teach 21st Century Information Fluency skills as part of content curriculum. This partnership is a critical component of our class.
Online participants earn 36 CDPUs (also eligible for the 25% CoreyH. requirement) for committing 6+ hours a week for six weeks. The online participant is expected to fully participate in the course. The online participant is also expected to clearly communicate with the partner. This means discussing course requirements, exchanging ideas, and determining roles and responsibilities.
Offline partners earn 6 CDPUs of credit by collaborating with their Partner to write the course Lesson plan. The 'offline' partner is not expected to participate in the online aspects of the class. The specific duties of the offline partner should be negotiated between partners. The offline partner is expected to commit to a minimum of 6 hours of active participation with their full time partner.
