Online Wizards

We currently offer three specialized Wizards to assist in finding information, evaluating the information retrieved and citing the information used.

The Search Wizard is built on Google Advanced Search and includes tutorials that may be used to explain the purpose of various search commands.

The Evaluation Wizard provides input forms that may be used to record discoveries about the author and publisher of online information, the freshness of the information, links to and links from the information, objectivity and the accuracy of evidence. This Wizard may be incorporated in assignments that check the extent to which students are able to determine the credibility of information retrieved.

Three different Citation Wizards make an easy task of citing references taken from the Web. Styles available are APA, CSE, formerly known as CBE, and MLA.
